The Sandwell family of colleges is comprised of campuses – Central Campus, which focuses on the vocational offer for Sandwell; Central St Michael’s, the A level centre for Sandwell; and Cadbury College, providing A level and vocational a provision in Kings Norton.
Each campus offers a positive and inclusive learning environment to ensure that every student can excel and develop within their chosen field.
In 2021 Sandwell College approached a number of contractors to help them with a variety of cleaning requirements they were unable to deliver themselves. In particular, they needed:-
• Extensive carpet cleaning at 2 of their largest campuses (out of hours)
• Car park cleaning (weekend work)
• Internal and external window cleaning
• High-level cleaning involving MEWPs during college holidays
• Chewing gum removal
• Hard floor maintenance
Prime Facility Services Project Manager completed a full site survey of all the Sandwell College sites requires cleaning and producing a detailed risk assessment, method statement, task schedule and timetable of events for every requirement. This was presented to the College’s facilities teams who also took up references provided by Prime. After a lengthy bid process Prime Facility Services were awarded the contracts and implementation began in January 2022. The initial feedback from Sandwell College has been excellent.
