Who are CeDo?
Cedo have been market leaders in the consumer household products market for over 50 years. Their history has been one of commitment to supplying customers with innovative products across Europe. Formerly known as Polylina in the UK, Cedo is now global manufacturing with its products listed in more than 30,000 supermarkets across the UK. Each year they produce 4 billion Sacks & Bags. 2.1 billion LM of Cling Film, 1.2 billion LM of Aluminium Foil and 2.6 billion Food Bags. The UK manufacturing HO is based in Telford on a 12-acre site on the Halesfield Industrial Estate where it employs over 250 staff.
What Problems Did CeDo face?
For a number of years, CeDo had used a number of different local companies for their site cleaning and maintenance requirements. Each company had different standards, different methods of operating, different RAMS and various schedules of work. This meant CeDo had to deal with 4 different contractors and process 4 different invoices each month. In 2020 CeDo decided to bundle all these services together into a single contract and tendered all their site cleaning and maintenance services. After a detailed process on 1st January 2021, Prime Facility Services were awarded the contract across 2 sites for all:
• Site internal cleaning
• Window cleaning
• Jet washing and cleaning of silos
• Car park sweeping
• Machine cleaning
• High-level cleaning (internal and external)
• Grounds maintenance
• Cleaning consumables
