In 2006 the Shropshire Fire Authority tender was issued and Prime Facility Services were invited to bid. Initially the Authority decided to retain the incumbent supplier – Mitie Cleaning – who was the most economic. However, after a lengthy period of sub standard service, lack of local support and unresolved problems the contract was terminated with Mitie and placed with Prime Facilities.

Since Prime Facility Services commenced operations in January 2008 the Authority and its staff have been delighted with the change.
