A Telford-based facilities management company is celebrating more than 20 years of successful trading in the Borough, highlighting the strength of the town as a place to start, grow and sustain a business. Prime Facility Services, based on Halesfield, has grown into a £8 million turnover commercial cleaning and facilities management company since establishing in Telford over two decades ago. The business now employs more than 500 people and supports organisations across the West Midlands, with the majority of its contracts located in Shropshire.

The company works with a wide range of well-known manufacturing, engineering, housing and education organisations, as well as more than 40 local schools and colleges. Its clients include global manufacturers and major employers alongside housing providers and local institutions, reflecting the breadth of Telford and Wrekin’s business and education base.

Councillor Ollie Vickers, Telford & Wrekin Council Cabinet Member for The Economy & Transport, said: “Reaching 20 years in business is a major achievement and a real testament to the commitment, adaptability and hard work of the team at Prime Facility Services.

Businesses like this play a vital role in our local economy, providing skilled, long-term employment for local people while supporting key sectors such as manufacturing, education and housing.

Telford continues to be a place where businesses can put down roots, grow sustainably and succeed, and it’s fantastic to see a locally based company achieving this level of success.”

David Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at Prime Facility Services, said: “Celebrating 20 years in Telford is a proud moment for us. What started as a small, local operation has grown alongside the town itself, and we owe that progress to the loyalty of our customers, the dedication of our team, and the strength of the local community. Telford has been more than a base for our business – it’s been our home – and we’re excited about continuing to invest here for many years to come.”

With a strong regional focus, Prime Facility Services continues to employ local people to deliver commercial and industrial cleaning and facilities management services from its base in Halesfield, supporting organisations across Shropshire and the wider West Midlands.

The business’s continued growth reflects Telford’s strong offer for companies looking to expand, with access to skilled labour, established industrial locations and a supportive business environment.
